The general areas were spacious and easy to navigate, perfect for senior people like myself. I also appreciated how accessible the hotel was, with ramps and handrails in all the right places, making it safe and convenient for older guests.

I would have liked to see the children working there provide more help with organizing tours or transportation for senior visitors.

The host Kim was incredibly welcoming and made sure our room was ready and bikes were prepared for us to explore. The choice of cereal for a quick breakfast was excellent. The lodge had a homely feel with a spacious kitchen and sitting area to relax in. The rooms were comfortable and had all the amenities needed for a great stay. The beautiful garden added to the peaceful atmosphere. It was a short bike ride away from both the town and vineyards. The overall experience was truly satisfying.

The only downside was that it required a bit of a drive from the town. However, once you reach the hotel and experience the beautiful surroundings, it is well worth the journey.

The breakfasts served on our own trays were delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. Kim, the host, was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel like royalty during our four-night stay. We had access to the house's amenities, including the kitchen, dining room, lounge, and outdoor area. The location was perfect, as we were close to the Wairau Valley vineyards and the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre.
